- A charge may be made to cover additional work involved where either the copy supplied is not clear and legible or the artwork, graphics and copy on supplied disks cannot be used.
Where such work is required, a price will be given and agreed prior to the commencement of the additional work. - Safe Zone
- All of the images and text, logos, etc, apart from your desired background image should be placed at least 5mm away from the trim line. (Also see bleed)
- Colours
- We print in Full Colour - CMYK. All files submitted should be prepared in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Knockout(Black) colour without any Pantone or spot colour information.
Any artwork submitted to us here will be converted to CMYK via our workflow. Please note that Pantone and spot colours will change once converted. For best results you must supply all files as four colour files without any colour management profile.
For Rich SOLID Blacks use the following four colour break down: C/60 - M/50 - Y/40 - K/100 - Fonts
- If you are supplying fonts for an editable document hen please ensure you have PC version only.
Alternatively convert your text within your document into curves or outlines. Embedded fonts within a document as a subset are also acceptable. - Total Area Coverage
- Total Ink Area Coverage should NOT exceed more than 300%. TAC is a total amount of component colours (Cyan. Magenta, Yellow, Knockout) for the darkest area of your artwork.
If TAC is too high (over 300%) ink may not transfer effectively and printed sheets may not dry properly. Our workflow will advise us of high TAC and we can either look to fix or inform you of this occurence.
